REFELECTION REPORT

   WEBINAR TITLE: 𝗔𝗜 𝗔𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗘𝗻𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝗜 𝗧𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗨𝘀𝗮𝗴𝗲

       I.          DETAILS OF THE EVENT/ACTIVITY

    The webinar “AI-Alam: Enhancing Academic Excellence Through Proper AI Tool Usage” was organized to explore the transformative role of artificial intelligence in education. Held on November 21, 2024, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM via MS Teams, the event gathered students and IT professionals to discuss how AI tools can optimize learning and improve academic performance. The session featured Vince Anthony Batayola and Vherden Jay Yasona from MinSU - Main Campus as resource speakers. They shared insights on integrating AI into education, providing practical strategies to enhance study habits, research efficiency, and overall academic success.
 
     II.          REFELECTIONS ON THE WEBINAR/ACTIVITY GIVE RISE TO (LEARNINGS)
 
    The webinar provided valuable insights into the proper use of AI tools in academics, focusing on platforms like Grammarly and Quillbot. It highlighted how these tools assist in writing, grammar correction, and paraphrasing while emphasizing the importance of understanding AI's influence in education. The discussion also covered challenges in AI, such as biases in training data, and addressed concerns about plagiarism. Additionally, best practices for responsible AI usage were shared, ensuring that students and educators can maximize AI’s benefits while maintaining academic integrity.
 
    III.          REFLECTIONS ON POSSIBILITIES ON IMPLEMENTING SOME OF THE WEBINAR INPUT ON A PRACTICAL LEVEL (PRACTICAL APPLICATION OF LEARNINGS)
 
    The insights from the webinar can be applied in various academic settings by integrating AI tools like Grammarly and Quillbot to enhance writing quality and efficiency. Students can use these tools to refine their essays, research papers, and reports while ensuring grammatical accuracy and proper sentence structure. Educators can also implement AI-driven plagiarism checkers to uphold academic integrity and promote originality in student work. Additionally, understanding AI biases and ethical AI practices allows users to critically evaluate AI-generated content, ensuring responsible and effective tool usage in education.
 
   IV.          POSITIVE FEEDBACKS
 
    The webinar provided valuable insights into the proper use of AI tools in academics, helping students and educators enhance their learning and teaching methods. The discussion on Grammarly and Quillbot was highly informative, giving participants a better understanding of how to improve writing efficiency. The session also highlighted responsible AI usage, plagiarism detection, and AI biases, which were crucial in promoting ethical academic practices. Overall, the event was engaging, well-organized, and highly beneficial for those looking to integrate AI into their academic work.

     V.          SUGGESTIONS FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO BE MADE/CONSIDER FOR FUTURE ACTIVITIES

    Future webinars could include more hands-on demonstrations of AI tools and interactive activities to enhance engagement. Providing real-world case studies and practical exercises would help participants better understand AI applications in academics. A Q&A session with AI experts could also add more value to the discussion.
