REFELECTION REPORT
WEBINAR TITLE: Arduino 101: Introduction to Arduino (IDE) and Connecting It to External Components
I. DETAILS OF THE EVENT/ACTIVITY
The webinar, "Arduino 101: Introduction to Arduino and Connecting It to External Components," was organized by the Junior Philippine Computer Society - MINSU Main Chapter in collaboration with the Microsoft Team. It was held on November 30, 2024, via Zoom from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM. The event featured Darlyll Sagaya as the resource speaker, providing an in-depth discussion on the components of Arduino and essential knowledge for working with Arduino and external components.
II. REFELECTIONS ON THE WEBINAR/ACTIVITY GIVE RISE TO (LEARNINGS)
The webinar deepened participants' understanding of Arduino by demonstrating how its components function and interact. Learning how to connect external components and understanding their purposes provided practical skills for building Arduino-based projects. The discussion on coding for Arduino also helped participants grasp the basics of programming microcontrollers, equipping them with essential knowledge for future hands-on applications.
Through this activity, participants gained confidence in using Arduino, understanding its components, and writing basic code to control external devices. This hands-on knowledge will enable them to apply Arduino technology in various projects and further explore its potential in electronics and automation.
III. REFLECTIONS ON POSSIBILITIES ON IMPLEMENTING SOME OF THE WEBINAR INPUT ON A PRACTICAL LEVEL (PRACTICAL APPLICATION OF LEARNINGS)
The knowledge gained from the webinar can be applied in various practical projects, such as creating automated systems, sensor-based devices, and interactive electronics. Participants can use Arduino to build simple prototypes, control external components like LEDs, motors, and sensors, and develop real-world applications such as smart home devices or monitoring systems. Understanding how to connect and program Arduino opens opportunities for innovation in automation, robotics, and IoT, allowing participants to experiment and enhance their technical skills in electronics and programming.
IV. POSITIVE FEEDBACKS
Participants found the webinar highly informative and engaging, as it provided a clear introduction to Arduino and its practical applications. Many appreciated the step-by-step explanations on connecting external components and writing code, making it easier to understand and apply the concepts. The speaker's insights and hands-on demonstrations helped boost confidence in using Arduino for various projects. Overall, the session was well-received for its structured approach, practical relevance, and valuable learning experience.
V. SUGGESTIONS FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO BE MADE/CONSIDER FOR FUTURE ACTIVITIES
For future activities, it would be beneficial to include more hands-on exercises or live demonstrations to further enhance participants' understanding. Providing sample projects or guided coding sessions could help reinforce learning. Additionally, a Q&A or troubleshooting segment would allow participants to address specific challenges they encounter. Offering supplementary materials, such as tutorials or project guides, could also support continued learning beyond the webinar.
