EVENT/ACTIVITY
The webinar “Creative AI
Tools: A Critical Survey” was organized by the University of the Philippines
Intelligent Systems Center and held on November 12, 2024, at 10:30 AM PHT. The
event featured Dr. Philippe Pasquier, a professor of Interactive Arts and Technology
at Simon Fraser University, Vancouver, as the resource speaker. The session
explored the transformative role of AI-driven tools in fields such as music,
design, and other creative industries. Dr. Pasquier provided a critical
examination of the user experience, ethics, and technology's impact on creative
professionals and students, offering valuable insights into the evolving
relationship between AI and the creative process.

WEBINAR/ACTIVITY GIVE RISE TO (LEARNINGS)
The webinar provided valuable insights into the integration of AI in

models in AI, highlighting tools like ChatGPT and virtual agents for real-time
applications. He also emphasized how musical/visual agents are shaping the

POSSIBILITIES ON IMPLEMENTING SOME OF THE WEBINAR INPUT ON A PRACTICAL LEVEL

The concepts from the webinar can be applied by incorporating AI
tools like virtual agents and musical/visual agents into creative projects to
enhance productivity and innovation. Using platforms like ChatGPT for ideation
or real-time collaboration can streamline workflows. These AI-driven
technologies can be utilized by creative professionals to automate repetitive
tasks, allowing for more focus on the creative process and improving overall
efficiency in industries such as design, music, and media.

POSITIVE FEEDBACKS
It was great to learn about the impact of AI on creative fields,
especially in today’s generation. The insights shared were valuable for
understanding how AI tools can enhance creativity and streamline processes. It
was an eye-opening experience that highlighted the future possibilities for
creatives.

SUGGESTIONS FOR
IMPROVEMENTS TO BE MADE/CONSIDER FOR FUTURE ACTIVITIES
Future webinars could benefit from more hands-on demonstrations to
give participants a better understanding of how AI tools work in real-time. It
would also be helpful to include more practical examples from various creative
industries. Additionally, a quieter environment or better audio quality would
enhance the overall learning experience.
