REFELECTION REPORT
SEMINAR TITLE: International Research Conference on Information Technology Education
I. DETAILS OF THE EVENT/ACTIVITY
The International Research Conference on Information Technology Education (IRCITE) 2025 was held on April 4, 2025, at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium, organized by PSITE Region 3 in collaboration with Holy Angel University and Bulacan State University. With the theme “Empower, Collaborate, Excel: Advancing Excellence and Inclusivity in IT Education for a Digital Future,” the event gathered students and educators from various colleges and universities.
During the conference, we had the opportunity to present our capstone research project alongside participants from other institutions. The event also featured a wide range of competitions and showcases including research presentation, cosplay competition, singing contest, video editing, IT marketing challenge, action figure toy design, motion graphics, technical writing, and ITS (Cloud Computing). It was a memorable experience that not only highlighted academic achievements but also promoted creativity and innovation in IT.
II. REFELECTIONS ON THE WEBINAR/ACTIVITY GIVE RISE TO (LEARNINGS)
The event was a great experience because we were able to present the results of our capstone research and showcase the system we developed — an online bus booking platform. It felt rewarding to see our hard work being recognized and shared with others. Despite the challenges we faced during the development process, we were proud to demonstrate that our idea was feasible and impactful.
III. REFLECTIONS ON POSSIBILITIES ON IMPLEMENTING SOME OF THE WEBINAR INPUT ON A PRACTICAL LEVEL (PRACTICAL APPLICATION OF LEARNINGS)
Through the event, I realized how our research project can be further improved and applied in real-world situations. The feedback from the panel gave us practical suggestions that can enhance the functionality and user experience of our online bus booking system. It also opened our minds to the importance of scalability, security, and user accessibility in system development. Moving forward, I can apply what I learned by refining our system based on real user needs and possibly developing it into a full-scale platform that can be used by the public.
For me, this event was a great opportunity, especially as a student who participated for the first time in a large-scale activity involving various schools. It gave us the chance to showcase our skills and present the system we developed. I was glad to hear that our project was well-received and has the potential to be useful in the future. It was a proud and inspiring moment, and hearing positive feedback from others motivated us even more to improve and continue developing our work.
